Harold E. 'Hal' Puthoff

Harold E. “Hal” Puthoff is an American physicist known for work that spans laser research, parapsychology, remote viewing, and later UAP-related programs. At Stanford Research Institute he was involved in remote-viewing research that fed into U.S. intelligence interest and the later Star Gate program. He subsequently became associated with EarthTech International and the Institute for Advanced Studies at Austin.

In UAP history, Puthoff appears around AAWSAP/AATIP-era studies, Bigelow-linked research networks, speculative propulsion concepts, and public discussions of alleged recovered craft. His significance lies in connecting very different strands: Cold War anomalous-research programs, private aerospace initiatives, technical speculation about propulsion, and modern disclosure circles. He therefore recurs at points where older intelligence programs, private research, and current UAP politics overlap.
